My Engagement

So it's a new year, and for me I hope a new direction. If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know that in September (14th to be precise), I got engaged to the absolute love of my life in Rome. Now, yes I know it may sound cliche, but I have always dreamt of planning my wedding - and now that I finally can, I want to share all that I have learnt so far, and all my ideas and inspirations with you. 

So, Josh proposed to me in Rome, in the Giardino delgi Aranci, overlooking all the beautiful sites that Rome has to offer,  at sunset. Cliche? Yes! But was it what I wanted? Yes! Josh knows me inside out, and planned this down to the precise detail, including a candid photographer to capture the moment for us to share with our families. Afterwards we also had a little engagement shoot, which for me was super cheesy and embarrassing, but something I would definitely recommend doing.

And yes...I did shed a tear!

So, I claimed the whole time that I knew Josh was going to propose (I did!), but I've constructed 6 little, but obvious tell-tale signs that he's proposing to you on your trip.

1. He won't let you hold his bag at the airport (or even anywhere near the bag)

2. He won't tell you the password to the safe, after taking the initiative to set the safe up himself

3. He's made the evening (or daytime) plans himself, without any help!

4. He's having a mental breakdown when you can't choose your outfit, and need to leave 5 minutes ago so you 'don't miss the sunset'

5. He's having his second breakdown when he can't find the location he has chosen to propose, and leaves it to you to ask the locals, because he can't really function at this point 
6. You see a photographer pointing their camera at you
